Organization structure

The Foundation is governed by a Board of directors with 3 persons, comprising Izzy Gerstenbluth (director), Byron Martina and Ashley Duits. The Institute consists of four departments, which are assisted by the department of capital management. The Board sets policies and strategic direction for the foundation, approves grant-making areas, fundraising strategies and investments. The board is advised by the Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) with setting research priorities and strategic planning. The SAB is composed of 4 eminent scientists representing the four scientific disciplines covered by the institute.
